Save and Make Money Through DIY Ladies Fashion

Look everyone! I've been busy since I learned how to save and make money through easy DIY Ladies Fashion.

This started a couple of years ago, when I went to a sewing class and took a practical sewing course. The organizers promised that I'd save thousands of dollars through applying the principles of easy DIY Ladies fashion. Since then I've been making up my own wardrobe, so their promise is certainly turning out to be true.

 EARLY BEGINNINGS

The first garments that I  designed,  using the principle of DIY Ladies Fashion, were skirts, such as the one pictured at left.

Although I didn't start off as robust as I'd have liked, I stuck to it, and eventually I got into a regular schedule.
This means that I'd have a special day, usually Friday, to do my cutting, and then I spend Saturday sewing all day.

LATER DEVELOPMENTS

Eventually I began to make tops as well. I'd make print tops and pair them with linen skirts. I also tried
This proved to be  very economical and suitable for wearing to work.  I liked designing with Ankara fabric because it was summer, (two years ago), and the garments were very cool and comfortable. some of them went to church, as this crisp navy number, at right.

NEW WORK
I now schedule myself so that I do my Easy DIY Ladies Fashion designing in between my blogging, one or two hours on Thursday and Fridays, then sew on Saturdays.
Here are some of my favorites.

MAKE MONEY BY SELLING ON ETSY

I have a plan to market my DIY Ladies Fashion collection through an Etsy online store, and it's still there. However, it's not open for business at present, because I decided that for me,  it would be  more economical to wear the clothes than to market them. However, I am still planning to get back into that line.

You can do the same. It's easy to do, and start-up costs are minimal.

You would need:

  • a reliable sewing machine
  • a guide to pattern making. You can easily get these from an online source such as Wiki How
  • access  to an economical source of fabrics - try to find an outlet for factory seconds or that sells fabric by the pound. You should also look out for sale days, which usually occur after the big holidays, such as at year's end, after Easter and at the beginning of summer.
  • staffing - check your local sewing academy for a student or two who'd be willing to assist with stitching seams or doing trim, etc. Or if you have a trusted friend, or if you have kids who're interested in design or DIY.

So you see, you can save and make money through easy DIY ladies fashion. Either wear them yourself or market them through an online marketplace such as Etsy.
